Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, popularly known as SJCE, located in Mysore, India, is an autonomous engineering college affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering was started in 1963, and was inaugurated by Dr. T. M. A. Pai, who was the then Chairman of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. It was under the auspices of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha, with the inspiration of His Holiness Jagadguru Lingaikya Dr Sri Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru of Suttur Matt. Courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering branches were started first. In 1968 the first batch of engineering graduates came out.

The campus is spread over a single campus of 120 acres (0.49 km2) that is located adjacent to Manasa Gangothri (the campus of the University of Mysore) and the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing.
